Blu-ray discs set for possible price hike

No matter what the outcome, I'm happy to say I don't buy too many of either these days as the average film now is, well, just that... It certainly wouldn't help BR any though :oops:

Yes they are all over priced. I still have not made the switch to Blu Ray. Maybe next decade? ;)

The cost of BR discs is one of the reasons I don't have more than three BR films. Make it as dirt cheap as DVDs and I'd be happier.

You'll probably have to wait until the next gen after BR has been available for several years. This is the way of things usually.

Judging from what blank CDRs and DVDRWs cost, the material cost is , say 25p, Even if it doubles, not much of a price change. Should be easily offset by economies of scale if the price was similar to a DVD
