As the thread suggests.

A duck's quack doesn't echo.

Kangaroo's can't walk backwards.

Stu, that's a fail. I'm pretty sure Brainiac tested the duck thing and found it to be false.

Depends if it’s an air brick or not, I suppose.

Mythbusters also tested the duck quack = no echo and proved it to be wrong.

Not a useless fact, but a denial of a useless fact, so a fact in it's own right, sort of :?

You CANNOT see the Great Wall of China from space! At least not with the naked eye from a spacecraft.

I'm full of useless information, but I'll be damned if any of it is coming to mind at the moment.

There are more nutrients in the cornflake package itself than there are in the actual cornflakes.

I go that from the iPhone app 'Facts 2009'

Also

Its possible to lead a cow upstairs, but not downstairs.

You can't see it from the moon :p

I suspect most of these facts are unsubstantiated intuition pumps.

The timing on the Suzuki DRZ-450 is a tooth out from the motocross version, thus giving it less top-end power but more low-end grunt.

Useless? :P

The optimal pH for a swimming pool is 7.4.
That makes it the same as your eyes.

I have, in fact, shagged YOUR mam.

On a real fact note, air pressure is strong enough to support a column of water 10.6m high.
