If you want to send apps to Apple to be approved to go on the App store you need to pony up $99. simples

I've not heard anything, but an OLED screen would be good - it will hopefully bring improvements in battery life and quality of the output. When it comes to res, I'm not bothered. I don't feel like I need more pixels. A higher quality camera would be cool. Am I right in thinking the 3GS uses an ARM CPU? I know earlier models did. If they do use an ARM model, perhaps Apple will unveil their own chip design for the new model? It would definitely make sense, having seen the iPad. On the software front - I still want to be able to send/receive files and contacts using bluetooth!!

Does anyone have an idea why Apple doesn't want you to use bluetooth to do this? Since every other phone under the sun is able to do it. It seems a slightly silly thing to restrict.

I'm guessing security.

I think that is why it will happen. Agreed Better optics I would value, higher res I have no use for. My display is only 2Million pixels on the computer AFAIK yes you are right. Agreed I don't care about bluetooth. I don't even have it turned on. It would be nice to be able to sync via WiFi though.

Oooh yeah - good one CC!
WiFi or even BT syncing would be excellent - syncing without even removing the phone from your pocket.
As for the camera, I couldn't agree more. I've had quite a few people come up to me and say something along the lines of "I've heard the camera on the iPhone is crap - my Nokia has got a 10 mega-pixel one"
IMO, the iPhone takes good pictures, and sure - you couldn't print them on the side of your house, but they're large enough.
If the optics could be improved so that it takes excellent pictures, I'd be happy. A flash would be useful too.

Again, it could be seen as a security risk though. But, you do have to "pair" your phone with a computer, so there may be a way to ensure it is safe. I certainly wouldn't be impressed if I wondered into a coffee shop, and left with a phone that had been booby trapped somehow.

I don't get it. Is it too subtle for me, and I missed it? Or is it just not funny?

Email, browse multiple forums, play games. I will often need to recharge every day and occasionally twice in one day. Other times, I will barely look at the phone and the battery will be fine for three or four days. Affect. +1. Pull trousers down, bend over and get ready for fruit up your backside. iTunes is the single most dastardly, evil piece of software ever created. M$ Windows looks like an angel in comparison. Not at all friendly or easy to use unless you're an Apple fanboy. I still don't see why I can't just drag-and-drop files to and from the iPhone. It would make my life so much simpler. I have taken pics with my iPhone that cannot be transferred to my PC in any way. I have pics on my phone that I cannot delete, rename or move. I want to be able to play music from youtube whilst surfing the net, but can't. In terms of ease of use, my SE K800i was far superior. I've realised now why I don't love my iPhone like everyone else does: what I really wanted was a phone-sized computer. Something with which I could text, make phone calls, receive/send email, browse the web and play games with the latter three just like I do on my home computer.

You have? What are you doing differently from all of the other Windows users? I though it was actually easier to do this on a PC than on a Mac. Tap the trash can icon to delete This at least is true, but you can play music from your iPod, and as I said earlier if you want to jailbreak to get those missing features it is very easy to do. It may have suited your needs better but I think you are the first person I have heard criticise the UI on the phone as being not easy to use. I think that is fair enough. The iPhone was launched as "three devices in one" not one of those devices was a computer.

Perhaps you could learn to improve your photography as there are some very good iPhone photos out there.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.
