Even Bay didn't think it was a good idea - initially anyway, a certain blockbuster changed his mind :(

There's not a chance in hell of me going to see a Transformers film in 3D that Bay directed, but I would love for him to even get things back to the sort of plot level the first one had (and it was no great shakes in that sense, tbf)...

The second film will be held up as one of the worst ever made, I have no doubt. Up there with Batman and Robin

More on this...

Quote:
Just last week, while interviewing Lucas Black for his new film GET LOW at Sundance, I discussed a fifth FAST & FURIOUS film with the TOKYO DRIFT actor. As coincidences often happen around Hollywood, Universal has just given the green flag to FAST & FURIOUS 5, officially titled FAST 5. Guess they ran out of interesting ways to word the title.

But hopefully not gas, as they have already signed on series stars Paul Walker and Vin Diesel. Along with director Justin Lin who will be back in the driver’s seat for this one after helming THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS: TOKYO DRIFT and FAST & FURIOUS 4. Longtime series producer Neal Moritz and screenwriter Chris Morgan (WANTED, TOKYO DRIFT, FAST & FURIOUS) will also be returning to the film.

Diesel and Walker will reprise their respective roles as Dominic Toretto and Brian O’Conner. Yep, you guessed it! They’re still on the run from Johnny Law, only this time it is said to be “legendary lawmen.”

I will be the first to admit that I love me some FAST & FURIOUS franchise. I think Lin brings some much need legitimacy under the hood, as he made FAST & FURIOUS 4 more of a crime film and less about 10 second races. Interestingly enough, the fourth film was the highest-grossing of the series, as well as being Universal’s best on the lot for 2009. So with that said, do you have any interest in seeing another one of these films?

Deep joy. May many blessings be upon your house.

There's really nothing of interest to me here and the Thing re-make is just pathetic. The film 2012 showed LA (and presumably Hollywood) falling into the sea....so just two years to wait at the most.

Well done pcernie though, for keeping tabs on the goings on in the film-making world. It's good to know I haven't got to start saving up for any cinema visits for the moment! ;)

There's a lot of things there I'll catch on DVD, but I agree, it's hardly 'Must rush to the flicks' in the main, is it? Though I'm hopeful for the superhero stuff, obviously ;)
