If I'd been online before the poll closed I'd be in the top category too. Quite enjoyed this weekends games, going to be a good championship I hope. Simon Shaw was lucky not to be caught on Saturday. Any news on Alun-wyn's punishment by Gatland?

Why? Has John Terry been seen near his wife?

I started watching the match then felt more inclined to go and get ready for work as Wales fell behind, so I missed the first try and then, just after I left for work and tuned into Radio Wales, they scored their second try. :x

When England scored their try in the last few minutes, the Radio Wales commentators were so excited, I thought we'd scored again, but it was England. Their commentary was so much more balanced and applauded great rugby, unlike the appallingly biased TV commentary.

If you mean Brian Moore, then fair enough - he obviously wants England to win. However, be does point out errors and mistakes on both sides, particularly at the scrum and break-down.

Other than that I don't see an issue.

I find it perfectly acceptable that an English commentator (and former player??) wants England to win, but the way I see it was that for every play that England lost, it was blamed on bad English moves and not brilliant Welsh ones. Although this may not be perfectly true, its an example of how I felt and it wasn't just me. I got to work and it seems that my colleagues had had a quiet evening and had seen the match and felt 100% the way I did.

It's not as if England were playing France or Italy where you might expect 90% of the viewing public to be routing for England, they were playing another home team. Perhaps the BBC should have had Jonathan Davies and not an all-England team on the panel.

When you contrast this with the aforementioned Radio Wales commentary, I honestly thought we'd romped home, the commentators (quite clearly Welsh) were so excited and it was actually England that had scored.

The fact that Moore is biased toward England isn't really a shock.

I suspect that most people can discern when the opposition are playing well rather than assuming that the home side are playing poorly.

Besides that, I do like his insight into the Scrum and the Breakdown. The occassional bickering with Eddie is just a plus. ;)

So fellow Englishmen, who do we want to win, Ireland or France? Whoever wins will be our only contenders for the grand slam.

On another note, I didn't expect Wales to perform badly against Scotland. Not that it matters for us. ;)

France. Just to really piss the Irish off, especially if there's a controversial handling incident that gives France the win.

Feel sick after that, losing seventen points in the final seven minutes is totally unacceptable. Jonathan Davies being a total arse as well didnt help.

Gutted that we lost, but it was a cracking match to watch. Yet again, sin bins deciding a match though. :(

Dan Park had the best game of his international career - he deserved man of the match despite losing.

Credit to Wales, for keeping the pressure on, especially after they were guaranteed a draw from a game they never led.

France v Ireland should be a good test. At least I can watch that match without risk of heart-attack or emotional breakdown. :D

I know what you mean :D

France v Ireland should be good to watch, both teams play quick attacking rugby, and of course there is the beast that is Bastareaud.

Agree with you there. Can't wait to see what Robinson says about the game.

Actually felt sorry for the Scots. Never seen anything like that before.

A couple of years back the welsh team seem to take the decision that to make it fairer on the others they would only actually play half the game.

However then, without prior warning, they change this to only playing the last 10 / 15 minutes I feel that I must request formal action is taken.

A Government health warning must be displayed before and during the game warning of the risks of High Blood Pressure, Heart Attacks, and Strokes on all welsh people over the age of 40.

Shame about Ireland but its definitely a case of THE French team showed up yesterday. ( Let’s hope it won’t need another outing against us ).

In the case of England v France, I don't think 90% of the country would be supporting England...mostly just the English. I'm pretty sure most people from Wales, Scotland and Ireland want England to lose badly. Mostly because the "English" broadcasting company will just go on about it for weeks and weeks and weeks if they win. If they lose it gets forgotten conveniently quickly.
They win one game against an under-performing Welsh team and you'd think they were on top of the world again. W**kers.

I miss Bill Mclaren. He was a proper commentator who just loved the game for what it was. He was Scottish but not bias in any way towards them. He got excited regardless of who was scoring.
