K ppl, Spanish GP this weekend as lots of you here will know, so I thought I'd kick off the usual GP weekend thread. Interestingly Brawn GP has a cool sponsor this weekend. The new Terminator film, Salvation. http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2009/5/9318.html

It should be very interesting with most cars have loads of new bits fingers crossed that we maintain the mixed up nature we have had so far this season. Its great to see the big boys struggle.

Okay, just an idea here.
If we're going to be chatting about GP every weekend, of the days leading up to it, which is probably all week.
Do you not think it's much cleaner, and easier for all users to make a topic, specifically for GP?
I know this should really be in the ideas thread, before Blue starts to kick me up the ar5e about it. But I fele here is more appropriate.
What do you guys think?
That way we don't have to look through other threads for quoting, we can chat about the cars, the quals, the actual race, the drivers. Rather than a specific race?

Trouble is bish, the thread turns into a mahoosive 30/40 page job. There becomes no defining point where one race ends and another begins. I do see your point, though I just think it's easier with individual race threads.

Page size doesn't matter. I've been on froums with like 125 pages for GP.
Personally. One subject, one thread.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8039679.stm Interesting looks like Jenson Button and Nico Rosberg set the fastest laps in each practice session for Sunday's Spanish Grand Prix as most teams tested out their updated cars.

Yay, a new GP thread One GP, one thread. None of this multiple threads for every GP rubbish. Seriously. I don NOT want to search through 21 pages of previous GP's just to find peoples views on this this mornings practise. Keep em coming Stu. And FWIW, GP's are usually fortnightly, not every week. PS. Nice to see Jenson still doing it in practise. Really looking forward to this one.

Ferrari's are running a double deck diffuser for the first time. Kimi has even got a whole new chassis design to accommodate it. But they're still playing catch up. Interesting views here from the tech bods. http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2009/5/9324.htmlAlso, notice who one of the "Questions from the floor" is from? James Allen. . Financial Times! wtf

Anyone else watching quali? Raikkonen out in Q1, another monumental Ferrari cock-up. Heads are going to roll.

Damn, I missed this thread in my delight.
Cracking last gasp effort from Button.

Yeah he really pulled that one out of the hat. He crossed the line to start his fast lap with 2 seconds left on the clock. Cracking lap though. Looking good for him for tomorrow, nice one.
