If I remember rightly they originally planned 10 seasons but people were losing interest because of the padding out episodes so they decided to knock it out in 6 seasons....

Nope. The network wanted them to go longer, but the writers wanted to have an end date so that they could focus the story on the journey/destiny of the characters. They got their end date 3 seasons ago and the show immediately picked up.

I Lost Interest near the beginning of season one. It was too confusing.

They are very annoying. Although I think it's a close call between them and Shannon and Boone. She was extremely annoying!

Just started season 5 ep 2 at lunchtime. Been totally with it so far, but now finding my concentration level is increasing in order to tie all the flash-forwards and backs together and get every little clue.

Season 5 is the one where it starts going all screwy with time travel and shiz. I can't really remember what season 4 was about at all. It'll be interesting watching it again.

Yes she was. She was also really nice, not up herself like a lot of lead actors are. She treated the extras as equals and would happily chat to us.

Just had to google Nikki and Paulo. Read their Wikipedia entry and still don't remember them! Just goes to show what a lot of wasted episodes there've been.

TBH I didn't know who they were even when they had had little speaking bits in previous episodes.

It was only when they had their own episode that I remembered who they were.

They became a bit of an in joke. They were added by writers and then hated by the audience, so written out. But they're supposed to be mentioned during season 6 and Expose still comes up in the intervening seasons. Hurley's Dad watched up a few eps back as a matter of fact.

Heading into ep 9 now. Still with it and actually the temporal mechanics are a lot easier the second time around. Looking forward to getting to season 6 with a much fuller understanding and enjoyment.
