I like the Lego Creator series. Its not as clever as Technic and aimed at a younger crowd I guess but it feels like Lego as I remember it. I made the Race Rider set and it was proper blocks not pre-fab panels. The alt modes are very good too, and the bike is bigger than you think http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.as ... n=348&d=70http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.as ... n=348&d=70http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.as ... n=348&d=70I might trawl eBay!

Those are class, and I'm not sure if it's from the Creator series, but I got the nephew some sort of sports car for £9 from our local Tesco, so have a look there

It probably was. They do the tiny sets from the Creator series like the plane. I was tempted but I figured for 3 of the tiny £3.99 sets I could get the sportscar or similar. My missus got me the Race Rider at Xmas for fun when she got me the big lego book I mentioned earlier. It was really fun building the models (and trying to make up my own) and I really want to get some more! [/big kid]

Oh, tell me about it, the nephew also has a green Technic go kart (as one form) and a digger with treads

Nah, I'd go eBay if it's out of stock, or there's the mini version at £30: http://shop.lego.com/product/?p=7778&La ... &ShipTo=UK

I always wanted that one, but had to make do with the non space lego version which my best mate had in his lego loft. My favourite kit was this:
