Scones are alright but I don't ever have jam with them.

I make a fat-free sugar free scone which is relatively healthy.
They taste best served thickly spread with real butter and black currant jam, with a generous dollop of cream. If you then add a strawberry, it counts as two of your "5 a day".

The other month I bought three different types of British strawberries from Asda, I decided the best were Camarillo.

Interesting. Though doesn't putting thickly spread real butter, cream and jam on not defeat the purpose somewhat? Care to post the recipe? I'm intrigued.

It was supposed to be a joke. I say the same thing about my "healthy crumpets". The recipe is self raising flour and water in the ratio of 4:3 kneaded and then steamed for about 5 minutes. You can also microwave for a minute or two provided you cover them to prevent drying out. If you roll out the dough about 2oz at a time into circles, then you can fold and fill them with various sweet or savoury things. A few drops of sesame oil adds a good flavour, and they do taste better if you add a little sugar to the mix.
