No details of the actual patents that Kodak feels have been infringed, and how they have been used in an unauthorised fashion. (8+/

That seems to be the way of such things. I’ve seen this before - there follows protracted legal disputes while each party tries to determine what the other has infringed. It may be that the Kodak one is just a fishing expedition, hoping that they’ll get paid regardless. This is the American way of doing business - if you can’t win, sue.

This is why software patents are stupid, and why the U.S. is also stupid in allowing them.
Thankfully in Europe* it's not generally possible to patent software.

I agree on the European view. Patenting software life or even a formula is not good for a country.
