Evening all - busy day today as been out all day

Morning peeps.

Just catching up with the world before we finish packing the car and head off into the south west for a short break.

I'm looking forward to the break, I have to say. We've been cooped up in the house for over a year now, rarely venturing forth anywhere different. It gets to you after a while.

We're staying with the 'rents, with an ulterior motive. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, and I am going to scan the photos from the 1962 wedding album. We hope to combine them with the anniversary pics into a nice commemmorative book.

Now, even though my parents are finally connected to the wider world through ADSL, I don't plan on spending vast amounts of time on the internet while I'm away. The area is far too photosnaptic to be stuck indoors all the time - unless it's precipitating a lot.

If I don't log in for a few days, play nicely. *wave*

The boss is on the warpath because questionable distribution planning has hamstrung us today. He stormed into the office, raging about it; at which point I, rather forcefully, reminded him that I was the only bugger who opposed the plan in yesterday morning's meeting, and still nothing was done about it.

He's not happy, and I still need to learn to wind my neck in a bit. I was going to join the diplomatic service, but fcukers wouldn't have me.

Massive tech fail this morning. Laptop is fubar'd - Outlook apparently won't even get out of bed without "Apple Application Support" and is asking me to update itunes and something else. Since I'm not on a Mac or any type of Apple product I'm not sure where this is going. Entire network is down so I can't get at any folders and the internet connection is also sodded. Luckily I have the crackberry to keep track of work emails and my new HTC One V to keep track of the internet, calendars and shared folders will just have to get along without me today.

Oh and my NVidia drivers keep crashing and recovering which leads to a rather disconcerting death of the screen about once every 10 minutes then some intense flashing while it all starts up again.

I wish I'd stayed in bed.

holiday going well, if a little cold. No internet here, just connecting over edge, using my Android phone as a hotspot for my laptop, while I sort through the photos I've made over the last few days.

Long walks in the mountains, but I have put my back out. Walking is fine, but sitting, twisting etc. causes me pain.

Hopefully Bratty is enjoying the book I sent him.
