Could have guessed it was northern ;)

A while ago IIRC some paper tested the north/south divide and one thing was dropping notes, the one up north gave the note to an elderly man they thought dropped it, apparently he was quite surprised :)

TBH this doesn't surprise me, for all the [LIFTED] you read in the Daily Mail about how awful Britain is I have to say in my general experience most people are very friendly and will go out of their way to help someone.

the benefits of being English? ;)

I remember when my my mum said to me the time she tripped over in front of people and struggled to get back up, cut her hands and got a gash. Not one person bothered to ask if ok or help her back up.

Thankyou, I probably will. This morning I have dropped a glass, which smashed then the coffee jar slipped out my hand on the way back to the cupboard and spread the contents over the kitchen. :o

A pensioner at 54? There's a rare thing.

Even rarer: A pensioner with a grand. Let's hope the government don't cut his heating allowance to gets their mitts on it. ;)
