That senior management in the office are a bunch of lying bastards.

Last year I applied (internally) for another job within my company.
My big boss was concerned that he didn't have enough engineers with HPHT experience and said he'd have to delay my transfer for six months. This would allow time for other engineers to get that experience.
Here we are six months later.
I emailed by boss (one, level below my big boss) to remind him today. I also emailed the guy who would be my new boss to let him know.
Now my current boss clearly doesn't know that I'm good friends with my planned future boss as he'd aleady sent him an email telling him that we'd spoken and that I no longer wanted to switch jobs.
Lying bastard!
Someone's getting their arse kicked the next time I pass through the Aberdeen office.

A clever chap is given a lifetime achievement award and all anyone can do is debate about whether the letter G is soft or hard.

How much I'm not looking forward to the next two and a half weeks on this rig.
I hate running water based mud systems with a passion.
That coupled with the lack of printer, lack of mouse, slow email account (if I can even get into it).

Bah, I just don't want to be here.

Do we have to inform the chancellor or anything? I mean I hope you haven't caused false hope in the economy ;)
