They are probably better insulated than the old routemasters so do not lose heat as well. If we have a cold winter they might be more popular.

From the admittedly very tiny picture on the BBC website it looked like those buses don't have any opening windows.
Seems like a bad design to me.

You don't want opening windows in an air conditioned bus. However you do want the air-con to work.

It also has an open door at the back. So air-conditioning would be useless.

Not too much more. They have to relpace graffiti ridden windows frequently anyway.

More fuel efficient, but less effective.
