As above, I fondle fruit. I fondle french sticks or cobbs if they're in packets but not if loose. I avoid loose bread rolls unless I've just seen them put out.

My local bakery has all the loose rolls behind the counter. In supermarkets they have tongs so no need to use hands at all.

As for fruit and veg I usually look them over before picking them up. Though with many fruit I do not care and will wait till it is ripe before eating, even if it is a week or more. Plus I can always wash it no matter how many hands have been on it.

People are starting to spread that fake woman beats phone thief up video as if it's real, even though it displays all the acting skills of Sunset Beach.

Tried reading an article on the BBC website a friend linked to.
Was met with:
Quote:
BBC Future (international version)
We're sorry but this site is not accessible from the UK as it is part of our international service and is not funded by the licence fee. It is run commercially by BBC Worldwide, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the BBC, the profits made from it go back to BBC programme-makers to help fund great new BBC programmes. You can find out more about BBC Worldwide and its digital activities at www.bbcworldwide.com.

OK but it annoys me when people squeeze them. I even saw a lad lick a tomato and put it back.

For bread, I won't buy the fresh loose rolls simply because of the number of random people who've fondled them. No matter how good they look and taste, you can't wash a roll like you can an apple.

Here most people still buy from the baker's and you can't touch them there.

The supermarkets have recently started selling fresh rolls as well, but the quality is nowhere near as good. They are in closed containers and the opening is generally too narrow for a hand, you need to use the tongs and they also provide plastic gloves and bags.

Buying from bakery is the best way, and as you say no public handling of the bread.

I now make mine so it is not an issue.

I just managed to avoid it. The tube stopped at Finsbury park and I jumped on to the Picadilly line. Why do they do it in rush hour?
