It messes up some of your quoting options etc, depending on what 'skin' you choose though (in my experience) :?

How about a post preview thing, so when your cursor hovers over the title of a thread, it shows the first few words as a tooltip.

Yeah, I've seen that on some other forums and it's a pretty good feature.

As long as the tooltips have a delay of five or ten seconds, sounds like a cool idea. Tooltips annoy me at the best of times...

Tooltips would be the browser default.

Depends if they are "real" tooltips, or if they are "fake" and produced with JavaScript.

JavaScript is a horrid thing. It's horrid to write, and it's the base of most "web 2.0" applications, personally I'm waiting for the 2.1 patch to fix all the problems I have with Facebook, the BBC site, etc...
