OMG.

I clicked and read the link but hadn't realised there was a new trailer up until that point.

The trailer wasn't impressive in any way shape or form, unlike the previous ones. The "comedy" was anything but. I was so psyched for this film but now I've seen this third trailer, I'm gutted. It's almost a parody of itself.

I hate that the film will likely drag down perfectly good (future) movies with it. Snyder can't even handle the alter egos talking to each other! FFS, even the line about clowns falls dead on it's arse.

Batman V Superman: Ben Affleck on how his Batman differs | Den of Geek
http://www.denofgeek.com/movies/batman- ... an-differs

I'm guessing that penultimate paragraph mean Bats has been out of the game for a long time. But even then it would make little sense for the character or what we've already seen

The final paragraph? There are a million reasons why nobody has ever bothered to do that, but chiefly because it's staggeringly boring in a film.

It's like the urge to be different from what came before was so strong that ALL logic went out the window. It's the same retarded mistakes they continue to make with Superman. 'Batman needs to be more grumpy and edgy!' Yeah, because nobody was getting that nuance from the character since 1939.

When I saw MoS in IMAX it was ear bleedingly loud. I was fearing for my ears again heading off to see SW:TFA last week at the IMAX. It was surprisingly fine. There was one ear splitting moment though where a constant rumble of loudness and booming became uncomfortable. It was the trailer of Batman Vs Superman.

Seriously, who's in charge of sound in that studio. Simply going louder is not better.

I didn't read it that way but more that he's living up to the playboy image whereas Bale's Batman did it for a short while and then stopped and became a recluse. IIRC Bale's Batman was only active for about a year so there wasn't much scope for a playboy image.

It sounds to me like Bruce is overcompensating because we already know he's 'older Batman' and been in the game a while. Alongside the talk of him being bitter it sounds like he's burnt out. He wasn't even burnt out in TDKR the book, so I've no confidence in Snyder being able to handle 'Party on, Wayne!'

Don’t think you know all there is to know about ‘Batman V Superman’

There's a lot in that article that I agree with.
We have had the discussion about trailers here (more than once), and basically what is said in that article is true, there's more to a film than just the trailer, though I admit that the trailers are what's used to sell the film to the audience in the first place, by the time it gets to two months before the film is released, anyone that wants to know anything about the film, probably has that knowledge already.

I know that a lot of secrecy surrounded The Force Awakens, but in all honesty, even with the wealth of information that has been posted about Batman Vs. Superman, I know about as much of one film as I do the other.
I'm pretty much going in to both films blind (I'm not seeing The Force Awakens until early next week).

I can't imagine that all the major plot beats have been given away for Batman Vs. Superman, simply because of the scale of the film and how much the studio has riding on the success of it.

The first two trailers IMO were great - they showed some action, a little bit of plot, the main characters - and did it without giving too much away. The third trailer is the one IMO that gave too much away by showing Doomsday.

But the problem is I'm seeing it from a fan angle. What you really need is the viewpoint of someone who's never really been into Batman or Superman, maybe someone who's watched MoS but that's it.

Having said that, it wouldn't surprise me if there were a couple of misdirections in the trailer so the final film has almost a different viewpoint. That's what I'm hoping for, rather than something that follows what's in the trailers.

My problem is you've got a handful of trailers clocking in at 3 mins each, that's patently ridiculous for a film that's still months away. The whole 'BvS' concept has already been blown out of the water by the recent trailer, the reveal of Doomsday was remarkably dumb, and there were smaller but very expensive/expressive scenes that keep a movie ticking over they now can't put back in the box.

The true geeks over at spoilertastic sites like Latino Review have even said too much has been shown and in a very choppy way. You don't really need context when you've got so many scenes and even half a brain...

There's a TV spot on the go which I won't link to because the scene will work so much better in the film if you're excited for it, but it's still utterly laughable to me. One effectively challenges the other in a very silly way given what we know of the characters, indeed what they must know of each other... maybe it's just out of context, it's certainly heavily edited to fit into 30 seconds, but to me it's inadvertently comical and likely not what they were going for lol.

Wonder Woman stands a chance at least.

Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice runtime is not short | Den of Geek

Strikes me as average. Though that final half hour will likely be taken up by a ridiculous fight scene that'll require two headache tablets.

Holy Batman! That's longer than the Avengers. At that length, it needs to keep me glued to the screen rather than yawning two-thirds of the way through like Age of Ultron did.

Ben Affleck Rewrote The 'BATMAN v SUPERMAN' Script While Shooting In Full Costume — Latino-Review.com

That should be treated like a Sun or Heat magazine 'source', but it honestly wouldn't surprise me with how WB have handled what should be a massive series of films. Hell, what should have started with Green Lantern years ago.

Dear Zack Snyder — Latino-Review.com
http://www.latino-review.com/news/dear-zack-snyder

Totally agree.

I really hope WB has the balls to sit him down and tell him what's what, otherwise Justice League will just continue to retro-sour what should be perfectly good films like 'Squad and Wonder Woman. But I believe that would be a Snyder film in name only he's so obsessed with his 'vision'. Or at least he must be, cos Jesus wept... It's almost certainly too late for that cat to change his spots.
