I can’t imagine that UKIP would have the nouse to even know where to begin after they invoke Article 50. They’d probably all go down the pub for a “job well done” drink and forget that there’s a country to run.

Boris Johnson writing in the Telegraph. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/06 ... --and-alw/Also looks like we’ll be getting EEA - which is basically the same deal as we have now, but without being part of the rule setting process. That includes any veto on Turkey joining. That “control our borders” catchphrase seems a little hollow at the moment.

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-36637232So all of George's threats and predictions he's so far had to go back on, while Boris has now stated we'll be working more intensely with the EU after he backed leaving... It's like they're a pair of lying bastards and the public wanted to stick the boot in, isn't it?

Hopefully the media will find pictures of Boris pulling more silly faces. I mean, it’s not hard, is it?

Interesting tweet I saw outlined the fact that by sheer demographics, by the time Article 50 negotiations complete, the country will actually be in the majority for remain. The logic goes something like this.. Voters over 75 predominantly voted leave, while voters under 21 predominantly voted remain. Say the Article 50 negotiations go down to the wire, and we formally leave the EU in 2.5 year's time. In that 2.5 years, enough people over 75 will die of natural causes and enough people will reach 18 for the voting balance to tip, and remain will then be in the majority. Of course the logic completely ignore the lump in the middle, assuming they would all vote the way they did before and none would change their vote as they got older in the next two years. I think that's a not unreasonable assumption but it's an assumption nonetheless. As is that people hitting 18 in two years would have roughly similar attitudes to the people aged 18 now. So it's an interesting thought experiment rather than anything you'd base legislation on but it does show the extreme nature of the split between the old and the young, and how we probably should think more in the long term.

'Loyalist East Belfast' is pretty much out of Irish application forms.
