http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8490251.stmI wonder how many decades he's actually talking about, especially when a lot of the research from then has probably been proved wrong or misinformed - that's science for you, it doesn't stop. Oh, and the "majority of scientists say that" statement is getting older by the second. You arse.

This is coming from a minister in a government that only believes in the science that backs there position, which is decided before the evidence is assessed.

The majority of scientists may very well be wrong. It’s happened before, and getting them to admit it is a right battle. Science behaves like a religion - there is dogma and heretics.

Well he was never going to turn round and say "Sorry we might be wrong, all these eco taxes are just a sly way to get extra money from people".

No No No you are so wrong. Look at how much the environment has been saved by the addition of added tax onto petrol. The rain forests are growing back, the saharah is a veritable green paradise, lambs are lying down with the lion. The ice caps are increasing you cant swim in the seas due to the amount of whales in there!!! <sarcasm.. just a bit honest>

About 28 years of rising temperatures at the end of the last century that can be possibly pinned on man, just maybe of 0.4^C. but it definately fills my belief in this THEORY with confidence. Long story short: world endangering problem everyone wants to be superman and get taken in by saving the world propoganda. like all beliefs it becomes instutionalised and anyone who is a non believer gets excommunicated from the scientific community. When met with the possibillity of them being wrong all along they just trench up. And when it turns out they are the danger to humanity, well they just hide it. Biofuels for example. There are much bigger fish to fry environmentally and you really shouldn't be doin that either (finite amount of fish.

The biggest problem: Increasing population. Yet the only country to tackle that (China) has been slagged off world wide for it's efforts.

What really winds me up is the history books will probably say the various agreements were what turned things around, and kids will be brought up to believe that
